About Lin Zinser
Lin Zinser is known to many Thinking Lab members due to her association with Objectivism. Lin discovered Ayn Rand’s ideas in college, and has studied them formally and informally ever since. She has been an intellectual activist for decades. In the 90’s she created study groups for Objectivism in Colorado. Later she was involved in a major fight against socialized medicine there. From 2008-2017, she was the director of public outreach for the Ayn Rand Institute. Most recently she has recorded, one-on-one, the video oral histories of individuals who participated in the first 50 years of the Objectivist movement. This project is being done for the benefit of the Ayn Rand Archives.
Lin Zinser was born and raised in Kansas. After graduating with a B.A. in Philosophy and minor in math, she went to work handling liability claims in the insurance industry. This inspired her to get a law degree. She practiced law, defending businesses in civil litigation, for 19 years, mostly in Colorado. She left law to pursue activism projects. She currently resides in Naples, Florida.
